Devon and Bradley ~ Thornagers Kilted Kat, Flagstaff, Arizona

Devon and Bradley were married on September 22nd. While September can be beautiful, especially in Flagstaff, we unfortunately had rain. So, the wedding plans changed from a ceremony in the forest in front of the beautiful San Fransisco Peaks, to under a tent at the Kilted Kat.

While a lot of couples would really stress out about this Devon and Brad were just so happy to be getting married that even rain wouldn't get their spirits down. It was a beautiful ceremony with the rain gently falling outside the tent. Everyone was so nice to work with and we had a wonderful time.

The excellent food was provided by Thornagers. Kilted Kat is a cute log cabin hidden in the pines and was perfect for Devon and Bradly. For those of you wanting to get married in the summer but don't want the heat that comes with getting married in Arizona, definitely look into weddings in Flagstaff!

Enjoy the images! You can see their whole slideshow here.

Just a note about having two photographers... because of the rules of the officiant we were not allowed to move during the ceremony. We were able to get most story telling images by placing Andrew up the middle aisle ... his shot is this one below... and I planted myself off to the side so I could get more close up shots of everyone's faces. It works well especially in this type of situation to work as a team.

Andrew and I stood out in the rain while the family stood on the porch where it was dry for the family pictures... here's a shot of the bridesmaid taking a picture of us in the rain taking a picture of her in the rain.

And then it started to rain harder. :)

We love to show the environment of the day when possible. For these images, one shot is of the tent with the drama of the rain drops, and then the next is shooting through the tent to Devon and Brad sneaking in a kiss at just the right moment.

I'm totally "comment happy"
That officiant was the same woman from my Quinceanera in Oct. She let me STAND on the alter with a robe (church issued) on but Matt had to be at the back of the church.
