Aimee and Albert ~ Los Abrigados Resort and Spa
Aimee and Albert were married on October 27, 2007 along beautiful Oak Creek at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa.
They were so sweet to work with. We really enjoyed documenting all the sweet looks they gave each other throughout the day. Aimee and Albert both were full of smiles from start to finish!
We went to Tlaquepaque, where for the first time on their wedding day they saw each other. Shooting their family pictures, right after their first glances, enabled us to be able to go off site later on for some pictures on the red rocks at sunset, and gave them time to enjoy a little of the cocktail hour with their guests.
Events by Showstoppers did a beautiful job with the pink floral theme. The cake with sugar flowers was made by Sedona Sweet Arts. And one of our favorite DJ's in Sedona, Bobby, at Sedona Sounds, did a great job keeping the dance floor busy through the night.

Aimee taking a sneak peek at Albert before their "first sight" meeting

The Native American culture is really special to Albert and Aimee and they incorporated it into their ceremony. Here's Albert taking in the moment before Aimee walked down the aisle...

The exchange of the Navajo wedding blanket.

I loved this moment... while they were exchanging vows they set their rings over the other's heart... it's a beautiful sentiment...

Albert already hogging the blanket.

One of my favorite shots from Andrew...

We've been trying to incorporate more motion blur into our images and I thought this one turned out nicely...

Aimee and her family worked really hard on the details... they had embroidered each napkin that was set on the plates at the reception. The votive candle holders had Swarovski crystals and were used as decor and favors for their guests. The pink and green theme really matched Aimee's warm personality.

I love this shot and I have to thank Gulnara for pointing it out to me during a portfolio review at the last Foundation Workshop. The light from Andrew's second flash spilling over and lighting the flower girls face perfectly is awesome. I love the expression on her face.
Photographers, it's great to get comments and ideas from your fellow photographers. Thank you Gulnara for sharing so many ideas with me regarding these images. If want to see some amazing photography be sure to check out her work here! She's fabulous!

We're always looking beyond the obvious shot for storytelling images. If there are kids at a wedding, you can be sure to get some great images of them looking on in anticipation of eating the cake! Too cute!
