Tracy and Justin ~ Stealing Away
Like a lot of our clients, Tracy and Justin were looking to plan a destination wedding. Options for their wedding, aside from Sedona, even included Big Sur... Andrew and I LOVE northern California and would LOVE to shoot a wedding there. But they settled on just eloping to Sedona ( which isn't too bad, is it?). It was just the two of them, with the gorgeous red rock views as a backdrop, for their ceremony and two photographers as their witnesses.
Karen Lynn of Sedona Wedding Planner helped them arrange all the details, as well as officiating their ceremony.
We can't believe that we were out shooting just a week-and-a-half after our baby Elise was born! We were so very blessed with a healthy pregnancy and a quick delivery. And we couldn't have done it without our sweet understanding clients as well! Thank you Tracy and Justin! We hope you enjoy the images! I'm sure your friends and family are so very excited to be part of your wedding day through these images!

kaiden's BIG little surprise...
Well, we finally got to take a precious day off with Kaiden, and where else would he want to go but 'the creek?' He LOVES the creek, any creek, and so it's always fun to see him so happy when he goes to one.
On our way to there we got sandwiches at Indian Gardens, about halfway up Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona. If you haven't been, you have to go! It's a super-cute little market and deli close to where Katrina grew up, and it's been there forever. When we got to the creek, this one at West Fork hiking trail, we had a picnic along the creekside, and it was a gorgeous day!
Kaiden got to throw rocks into the precious creek with daddy... (his favorite past time)

...and of course, how could you be a boy and be near water without wanting to get in?

Kaiden got to play with mommy's belly too and talk to ' nene.' ( ' nay-nay,' the Spanish word that little kids use to say baby)

And get thrown in the air like a rocket...

Finally it was time to go home...

The next day Kaiden woke up to a BIG little surprise... his sister Elise Grace had been born overnight while he was fast asleep in his little bed!!

And of course what big brother would not want to hold his baby sister!?

Elise was born at 1:12 am at home. All our prayers were answered for a quick and easy delivery... we LOVED our midwives at Woman Care Midwifery in Flagstaff... Mary Anne raced down from Flagstaff and just barely made it in time for Elise's arrival (she got to our house just 10 minutes before she was born!) ... it's a funny story now that it's over ... we'll tell you all about it sometime if you ask.

she's sooooo cute!

already daddy's little girl...

Blessings,
Katrina + Andrew + BIG brother Kaiden + baby Elise
