Kristin and Gino came in from Ontario, Canada, to tie the knot in style at the breathtaking Tlaquepaque Village right on Oak Creek in Sedona. The beautiful little chapel is perfect for a Sedona wedding elopement!
Karen Lynn, of Sedona Wedding Planner arranged all the details for Kristin and Gino, and performed the short and sweet ceremony. Events by Showstoppers put together the most colorful and amazing bouquet and boutaineere for Kristin and Gino.
Kristin and Gino, it was very nice to get to know you! We wish you all the best in years to come :) Congratulations on your beautiful wedding in Sedona.
Here are a few of my ( Andrew's) favorites from the shoot. Enjoy!

If you haven't had a chance, check out the Winter/Spring 2009 issue of Phoenix Bride and Groom magazine. We were blessed to not only have Mary and Jim's storybook Sedona wedding at L'Auberge de Sedona featured, but also a good amount of editorial work as well.
Many thanks to our amazing couples ~ Katie+Lee wedding in Mexico!!, Crystal+Matt's wedding in Prescott, and all our weddings in Sedona ... Sara+Drew, Aimee+Albert, Mary+Jim, Jessica+Charles, Kara+Will, Jennifer+AJ, Catherine+Troy, Daramee+Damon, Kate+Joerg, and April+Jake ~ whose images were in the magazine. You are a big part of the reason we love what we do :) Also, thanks to Fran and her team for such a consistently cool magazine :)
All the images below are our images (Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia), with the exception of the cover of the magazine which was shot by our talented friend Ben Quillinan.
I love this full feature about the "groom".... we always try to photograph the groom and his guys before the wedding as well. It's such an important part of the day and makes for some fabulous pictures to remember a wedding day by!
And these two images below of Katie and Lee's wedding in Cabo San Lucas at the beautiful Dreams Resort.
Here's a shot of Mary and Jim's wedding feature at L'Auberge de Sedona and a link to their wedding day slideshow and our original blog post on their wedding.

After first meeting and getting to know each other in New York City, Brianna and David later endured a long distance relationship between Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C. After a marriage proposal, and a lot of planning, they finally found themselves in Sedona on a beautiful spring day, surrounded by gorgeous red rock views and loved ones, as they tied the knot :)
You may have seen Brianna on a popular cable news network. She's a CNN congressional correspondent, which keeps her close to Washington, D.C. You probably have not seen David, but his work behind the scenes as a former Public Relations VIP for MTV undoubtedly contributed to it maintaining its status as an icon of pop culture.
Their wedding was not only symbolic of Brianna and David finally being able to be together in Washington, D.C., but probably most importantly served as a coming together of two amazing individuals and families through marriage. We have to say, Brianna and David make a great couple! We're so happy for you both!!
Here is a list of the vendors that helped make the day extra special...
There are literally just too many great moments and details from this wedding... to see the full story of their wedding day be sure see their slideshow (opens in a new window) or click on the image below to start their slideshow on this page... Enjoy! :)
Love these candid moments Andrew got of Bri giving Dave's ring to his sister for safe keeping... super cute!
Moments before they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day!!!
After being dropped of at the trailhead, the guests had a little walk with big views to take before getting t0 the dramatic ceremony site.
We always ask our clients what is the *most* important image they would like captured on their wedding day and they said the kiss soooooo... here it is! Andrew was in "tight" and I got the overall shot with the views! You gotta love having a husband and wife team to document the wedding!!
Yay!!! Just married!!
Bri and Dave incorporated an old world Mexican feel into their wedding, with the gorgeous Tlaquepaque Village, delicious Mexican food, and a piñata filled with candies!
Pretty details from this super colorful wedding... from fun yellow parasols to a lovely "cigar" cake. Instead of table numbers, we liked how Bri and Dave used old post cards of Arizona cities. The Jerome post card, in particular, is special as that is where they found their fabulous band, Smoot Mahooty, in a biker bar. The band did an amazing job, especially since they had never played at a wedding! When they asked Smoot Mahooty to play at their wedding they said, "We're not a wedding band," and Bri and Dave said perfect!
Another really nice shot from Andrew during the mother/son, father/daughter dance. I love how it's layered and you can see Bri and her Dad dancing in the background. The expression on Dave's mom's face is just so sweet!

Karen Lynn, of Sedona Wedding Planner, always does such an amazing job on elopements. She called us just about two weeks before Milley and Doug's wedding to see if we were available. Even though it was just the two of them, both Andrew and I documented the day and spent a few hours together from the preparation at a beautiful cabin at L'Auberge, to the Sedona wedding at Red Rock Crossing, and back to L'Auberge again.
Events by Showstoppers did a fabulous job on Milley and Doug's floral... the color pallet went perfectly with Doug's pastel purple tie and Milley's fabulous pastel blue shoes! And of course, Karen Lynn arranged for the beautiful classic Bently to chauffer Milley and Doug to and from Red Rock Crossing. Preparation for the elopement, and dinner afterwards, took place at the amazing L'Auberge de Sedona.
Milley was a fashion designer and has the most amazing taste in gowns and shoes. Her wedding gown is by Amsale. The shoes she wore with that gown are designed by Christian Louboutin, whose trademark signature is red soles.
Milley and Doug were just so cute together and we really enjoyed spending they day with them! Thank you two so much for having us be apart of such an intimate and beautiful day! We're so happy for you both :)

Recently I ( Andrew) was blessed with an opportunity to document a very short, but sweet, Sedona wedding elopement coordinated by JB, at Sedona Luxury Weddings.
Patricia Vega, as usual, did amazing work on the girls' hair and makeup... they actually got ready at Patricia's home, which is just a minute away from Red Rock Crossing where the ceremony took place.
Here are some favorites from the shoot. Enjoy!

Another sweet elopement from JB at Sedona Luxury Weddings, who did a wonderful job putting all the details of this wedding together.
The talented team at Events by Showstoppers created the stunning red bouquet that matched Irene's dress perfectly. A very cute mini elopement cake was made by Sedona Cake Couture.
Patricia Vega is a fantastic hair and makeup stylist. Irene was thrilled with the her work.
Patricia is also an amazing hairpiece artist, as she also created the very stylish Art Deco feather hair piece that Irene wore... feathers are very "in" right now and Irene wore it beautifully!
The friendly staff at Pink Jeeps provided the transportation to beautiful Chicken Point.
Click here to see the slideshow of Irene and Derek's sweet Sedona elopement.
We really enjoyed working with you both, Irene and Derek! We're so happy for you, you make a gorgeous couple, and we hope that you are enjoying your honeymoon in Africa!!!
Here are some of our faves from the shoot. Enjoy!
We love this image of Derek watching Irene get ready... he has such a sweet look for her... very much in love to say the least!
Patricia's gorgeous red feathered hair piece and Showstoppers' cute cactus garden created at Irene's request to take back home to remember Arizona and their wedding day.
Margaret Van Damme did a beautiful job officiating the ceremony... the backdrop just doesn't get much more beautiful than this... Chicken Point is just stunning.
After the bumpy ride back down into Sedona Irene and Derek changed from Pink Jeep to a classic red Ford set up by JB.
Irene and Derek settled in for a super romantic dinner at Cucina Rustica ... and we caught a sweet candid shot of them toasting ... a perfect last image to remind Irene and Derek of their perfect elopement. Thank you both again for having us be a part of your day!
