Weddings at Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque is a jewel in Sedona.  Their beautiful outdoor wedding venue offers old-world and timeless charm. It’s an incredibly romantic location with a beautiful chapel and several outdoor reception areas. Patio de Las Companas is a poplar ceremony location and can accommodate up to 100 guests for ceremonies and 80 guests for receptions. The bride makes a dramatic entrance over the arched passageway above the ceremony and down the stairs.

The Calle Independencia can accommodate up to 100 guests for receptions. Beautiful string lights span across the Calle and makes a gorgeous outdoor reception location.

Tlaquepaque weddings are one of our favorites to photograph because of the architecture. It’s simply beautiful with the light that bounces from wall to wall. The old wooden doors and fountains and staircases that are tucked away add so much charm and are an amazing backdrop for wedding photos.

Sedona Bride Insider Tip

We always recommend having a wedding planner as they can make a wedding day so much easier and enjoyable. At Tlaquepaque it’s even more recommended because setup can not start until after 5pm after the shops close. It’s a delicate time frame which can be balanced beautifully by vendors work at weddings at Tlaquepaque often.

A lot of our couples stay at El Portal or Los Abrigados … both are walking distance from Tlaquepaque. We have photographed many brides and their bridesmaids getting ready in the Governor’s Suite at El Portal. It’s a beautiful corner room that is filled with wonderful window light and ample space for everyone to get ready before the ceremony.
