If you are looking for an outdoor Sedona wedding location with stunning red rock views, Agave of Sedona should be in your list to explore. Their Montage Ballroom and adjacent Celebration Terrace are ideal to celebrate a wedding day.  The ballroom has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide panoramic views of Sedona’s majestic Red Rocks. 

What we love about Agave of Sedona

• Stunning panoramic red rock views.
• Indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces.
• Up to 185 guests on the Ceremony Terrace (although we feel 100 fits more comfortably in the space).
• Outdoor reception seating on the Ceremony Terrace seats up to 90 guests.
• Montage Ballroom seats up to 200 but with dinner and dancing setup we’ve found 100 guests is more comfortable.
• Private venue and locally owned.
• Next to Sky Rock Sedona hotel making it easy for guests to walk back to their rooms.

Sedona Bride Insider Wedding Tip

• Consider planning an earlier ceremony time so you aren’t in the shade of the building OR make sure your photographer knows how to add flash so you can see the beautiful red rock views in your photos.
• Agave of Sedona is a small foot print of a space so the views don’t change much. To get a variety of views go off-site for your couples photos.
• Work with a LOCAL photographer who knows locations to take you for couples photos and the best time of day.
• Consider booking your vendors separate from the all-inclusive package. The photographers that participate in their all-inclusive package might not be the style of photography you are looking for. Make sure to see full weddings they have photographed on both sunny days and cloudy days so you can see how they capture the views during the ceremony as well as how they capture moments.

The views from this property are breath-taking, to say the least, but be sure to plan for an earlier ceremony. The key to a beautiful ceremony is timing, because as early as mid-afternoon through sunset the sun can be low enough in the sky that it casts a shadow of the building ( Montage Ballroom) across the terrace, creating sharp contrasts in light from the dark ceremony location on the terrace in the shadow, and the brightly lit glowing red rocks in the background.  This combination forces a photographer to use artificial light, instead of natural light, to be able to expose properly for the red rock backgrounds that we all love, yet still light the ceremony so it is visible in the pictures.  Make sure your photographer knows how to add flash when necessary so you can see the beautiful views in your photos!
