What better way to celebrate 4th of July weekend? We got to celebrate with Lindsey and Anish at Enchantment Resort Sedona when they commissioned us to do their wedding rehearsal dinner, and wedding day photography. Lindsey, Anish, and their family and friends, enjoyed a weekend celebration in one of the most beautiful little corners of the world!

In true Sedona destination wedding fashion, this Canadian couple brought family and friends in from all over Canada and the USA to attend the celebration. It was a light mix of East Indian traditions, set to a more modern and western wedding theme. And, why not set a record of wedding firsts? This was our largest bridal party ever, with a total of 30 bridesmaids and groomsmen!

This time of year there can be rainy, so the day was not without a few quirks of its own ~ like a 10 minute downpour right as we were photographing the family formals and bridal party pictures… While everyone was worried about he rain, we know it makes for some fun pictures, and everyone became so lighthearted and fun about it that everyone was talking about it for the rest of the day. Thanks to the rain it stayed cool and the rest of the day went off without a hitch!

We can’t say enough about what a great team of vendors this was! At the expert coordination of Susan Perry, with Enchantment Resort and Spa’s Ivis, and with each member of the vendor team working hard, everything turned out beautifully. The wedding reception was originally to be an outdoor wedding reception. But, Susan, Ivis, and Amy Mills ( of Bliss Extraordinary Floral) were able to quickly get things moved to a beautiful indoor wedding reception area because of the threat of rain.

We’re always so lucky to have couples that truly love each other and their family and friends. This is so true of Lindsey and Anish. They had the most incredible smiles and gentle words and fun with their guests! Thank you so much for entrusting this day to us. These pictures will make the perfect memory for you in the years to come! We wish you happy lives together!

Intimate weddings and vow renewals are always extra special. By definition they are a small, close knit group of family members, or friends, brought together to celebrate a very special day, oftentimes in an exotic or favorite destination wedding location. Gretchen and Nick brought their young family, and a few family members and friends, to Sedona for exactly that! Their preparation and first meeting took place at L’Auberge de Sedona, the ceremony at Tlaqupaque, and their romantic portraits at a gorgeous red rock location just minutes away.

L’Auberge de Sedona offers what is perhaps the most diverse selection of scenery. From serene creek views along Oak Creek, to lush green lawns just off the creek, to incredible red rock views higher up along the foothill. The cabins, or cottages, are spread throughout the lower elevation of the property just off the creek, and offer a luxurious yet rustic feel. It was the perfect setting for this family group to prepare for this wedding!

After preparation was complete it was time for Gretchen and Nick to have their first meeting, staged right on Oak Creek. Obviously, it was love at first sight all over again as these two got to spend a moment seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony that day.

Then it was off to Tlaquepaque for the ceremony. Tlaquepaque is more or less a replica of a Colonial-Mexican settlement located in Mexico. The décor and ambiance is stucco and stonework, wrought-iron, tile flooring, clay tiled roofs, fountains and water features, a large bell tower, chapel, large and ornate oak doors, and beautiful canopies of trees all around the property. The chapel is old-world and looks like it’s taken right out of 18th century Mexico. It was the perfect romantic place for Gretchen and Nick to share their love with their children, family, and friends.

Not surprisingly, Tlaquepauqe also served as an incredible location for beginning the romantic portraits after the ceremony, before heading out to the red rocks. Once out to the red rocks the backdrop is only more enhanced by this gorgeous couple! With quintessential, sweeping Sedona views, the landscape made for the most scenic portraits.

Gretchen and Nick, thank you so much for entrusting this day to Katrina! It is our hope that these pictures will make the perfect memory for you and yours for years to come! We wish you all happy lives together and look forward to working with you again! X0X0 ~ katrina+andrew

We were already booked on the wedding date Pam and Wade were looking at wedding photography, and they switched to a beautiful Thursday date in October to work with us, something we did not take lightly. Of course we felt so honored to be a part of such an amazing day in their lives!
They are a truly wonderful, heartfelt, and caring couple and adore each other. Pam has a career in design so all the paper goods were designed by her and the ideas that she came up with were beautiful.
Most importantly however were all the wonderful family and friends that were there… it was a very intimate wedding with just the closest of friends and family who were just as kind and loving as Pam and Wade. They are so blessed to have such wonderful people in their lives.
This wedding took place at L’Auberge de Sedona and was beautifully executed by Laura at Heart of Sedona Weddings. Laura is amazing to work with and always always has her clients best needs in mind. She works tirelessly to make sure that all the vendors come together as a team to make the day flow. We appreciate her so much for that and more. We may have missed someone in the vendor list below, so if you are interested in more about the vendors, please contact Laura at Heart of Sedona for more details and planning ideas.:)
We hope you all enjoy the images from this beautiful destination wedding! Please leave comments! We always love to hear from family and friends of the couple!
And finally, Pam and Wade, you two are amazing and we are so blessed to have gotten to know you through this process. We can’t wait for you to make it back to Arizona and enjoy a meal at Elote together! Big big hugs to you both!!
