L’Auberge de Sedona weddings are known to be the premiere wedding spot in Sedona for good reason! There’s no venue in Sedona that provides both creek and red rock views as gorgeous as what’s available at L’Auberge.
As local Sedona wedding photographers, we’ve photographed countless weddings at L’Auberge over the last 20 years. From intimate elopements to sweet micro weddings and large celebrations, L’Auberge has been an ideal location for couples planning their wedding in the beauty of Sedona!
We hope the photos and information below will help you decide if L’Auberge is the perfect wedding venue for your Sedona wedding. We’re happy to hop on a call and chat with you about your photography needs and provide insight into the various wedding venues in Sedona!
Weddings at L’Auberge
One of the reasons L’Auberge de Sedona is one of the most popular wedding venues in Sedona is the location. A panoramic view of the red rocks is the backdrop to the Vista Overlook (up to 150 guests) and on the creekside there are three locations for ceremonies. The Creekhouse and its lawn (up to 120 guests), Cottageside Lawn (up to 150 guests), and on Oak Creek at Serenity Point (elopement for 2). The Garden Ballroom and the Garden Terrace (up to 150 guests) with its views of the red rocks is yet another option for couples planning their Sedona wedding.
Nestled snug along Oak Creek and the panoramic views of the red rocks make it the perfect location for a wedding in Sedona.
What we love about L’Auberge weddings
- The many spaces to chose from for your ceremony and reception. If you love the creek you can be at the creek the whole time or you can plan a combo of a creek ceremony and red rock view reception. There are endless combinations at L’Auberge.
- Indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces.
- Guests can stay at L’Auberge or it’s sister property Orchards Inn (soon to be The Cliffs) making it easy to have a late night reception and guests can easily walk back to their rooms.
Sedona Bride Insider Wedding Tip
- For the Vista Overlook and Garden Terrace, consider planning an earlier ceremony time so you aren’t in the shade of the hillside OR make sure your photographer knows how to add flash so you can see the beautiful red rock views in your photos.
- Plan plenty of extra time on your wedding day, L’Auberge is a really large property and if you want photos by the ivy archways, on the creek at Serenity Point, and photos out on the red rocks you’ll want extra time for getting around the property.
- Work with a LOCAL photographer who knows locations to take you for couples photos and the best time of day for your ceremony based on which ceremony location you select.
Plan for extra time on a wedding day as this property is large and beautiful. If you have a ceremony at the Vista Overlook and then have your guests walk down to the Cottageside Lawn extra time is needed. Or if you plan on having family pictures on the “beach” and then romantic portraits at Serenity Point logistically everything takes longer because of the walking distance. There are so many extraordinary photo opportunities on the property so be sure to plan accordingly so you can make the best out of your wedding day schedule.
While there are plenty of locations on the L’Auberge property to take pictures at most of our clients opt to go off site for red rock portraits which is a beautiful compliment to the images captured at L’Auberge. There is a location that is a short 10 minute drive away from L’Auberge (when there is no traffic) that is especially perfect near sunset.
