One of our favorite types of weddings to shoot are intimate weddings in Sedona. Being the destination wedding capital of Arizona, a Sedona wedding elopement at L’Auberge ranks pretty high as an ideal intimate wedding location idea for those looking at eloping to Arizona. Emily and Marcin are celebrating their 2 year anniversary this past month and we wanted to share a few of our favorites from their late summer Sedona wedding at L’Auberge.
Margaret Van Damme at Van Damme Weddings planned and coordinated their weekday wedding … they had an small group of less than 10 guests, two of which included Marcin’s parents from overseas. Their ceremony took place on the Cottageside Lawn at L’Auberge and was followed by a sweet intimate candlelit dinner reception at L’Auberge’s restaurant Cress on Oak Creek.
Photography was important to Marcin and Emily … they had their heart set on a location near Bell Rock so with the last light of day we went to a special location that we like to take our clients to. It’s mostly removed from the popular tourist spots yet has beautiful red rock views of Bell Rock. They joined their family for an amazing dinner and cake cut next to the amazing sound of the rushing water on Oak Creek. It was pretty magical!

Emily gifted her dad with a sweet photo of them when she was young … it was very touching! So sweet to remember gifts for your parents on your wedding day!
One of the best things about L’Auberge is that it’s a pet friendly hotel so you can bring your fur babies to be a part of your wedding day and wedding weekend in Sedona.
Checking out the radar for rain on their wedding day … it mostly held off and it was a beautiful day despite the clouds and cooler weather
Serenity Point is one of our favorite locations at L’Auberge for wedding photography … you get a little bit of red rocks and the beautiful Oak Creek in the backdrop

Margaret Van Damme had a Native American blanket ceremony incorporated into their wedding ceremony … it was very sweet.
Our favorite parts of a wedding day are the unexpected moments that show the love and relationships of the day. These kind of moments really are timeless and become so important in the years to come to look back on and remember.
Some Sedona wedding photography at a location we love away from the crowds near Bell Rock … Emily specifically asked for that location and it was beautiful with the cloud cover and last light of day …
We hope you enjoyed the images from this Sedona wedding elopement at L’Auberge and that it inspires you to consider having an intimate wedding in Sedona or another gorgeous outdoor wedding location your heart tugs you towards.
