Bell Rock

Blog post of Katelyn and Darrin’s Bell Rock engagement

Most days in Arizona are sunny like on this wedding day … we worked to time their ceremony closer to sunset but before the sun hid behind a mesa. This is the most scenic location with vistas without having to plan travel or a lot of hiking time.

Enchantment Resort and Schnebly Hill

documentary photography in Sedona

In the link below you can see Shawna and Mike’s ceremony at Enchantment Resort followed by their portrait session on Merry Go Round Rock. The ceremony was at Enchantment Resort so that their family could easily attend. They made the trek up Schnebly Hill for romantic pictures at Merry Go Round with just the two of them.

Red Rock Crossing

Sedona elopement photography

This link below is from an elopement at Red Rock Crossing. Their photos started at L’Auberge where they were staying.

Cathedral Rock

This is a fairly intense hike in parts. It’s easy to get to the half way point where there are beautiful views without a hike. To go to the top is a bit more for adventurous couples with hiking shoes. 🙂 The photo above is from an engagement session on a cloudy day but gives you an idea of the images that can be captured from both the mid level area as well as the top of Cathedral. To go to the top “saddle” of Cathedral Rock requires 3-4 hours of time round trip and is an Adventure Elopement and is $1250 which includes the travel/hiking time and shooting along the way as well as the files and images.

Elopements and intimate wedding ceremonies and portraits can happen on the lower half of Cathedral Rock without the hike and has really beautiful scenery as seen in the image below. One to two hours of coverage from our a la carte hourly coverage is usually a perfect amount of time to photograph a elopement and many beautiful portraits with amazing red rock views.

L’Auberge de Sedona

A very happy bride sees her groom for the first time on her wedding day on the red rocks at Oak Creek

L’Auberge has several ceremony sites on their property and Serenity Point is the most popular for elopements. It’s located on the most souther point of the property and is usually very quiet and intimate, perfect for a romantic elopement on the red rocks with the sounds of Oak Creek. L’Auberge offers elopement packages as well as package for intimate weddings. At this time any guests staying at L’Auberge are free to use the property for photographs which makes it a popular location for couples to get ready at and use for pictures before going out to their elopement either on site of off site.

The link below is to an intimate wedding with just two guests and pictures both on and off site from L’Auberge.

Merry Go Round

Merry Go Round is an adventure elopement and requires about 4 hours of time. An hour up to the ceremony spot, 2 hours of shooting time nd an hour back down to be base. We are happy to provide guidance on getting to the locations but transportation is provided by the couple.

Munds Wagon Trail

These are just a few views from Munds Wagon Trail … the parking is usually plentiful and there really is no need for hiking. To see a full gallery from this location let us know and we can email a full wedding there.

Hot air balloon

Unique weddings like getting married hundreds of feet up in the air above Sedona are so fun! The wedding below is from the highlights of a couple who got married in the air and stayed at L’Auberge so they followed their ceremony with some pretty pictures at L’Auberge.
