Mary and Jim were married on May 18th, 2008, at L'Auberge de Sedona Resort, along beautiful Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona. From the adorable children running around with crowns made from flowers and jewels, to Mary's flowing and gorgeous Vera Wang gown, and all the romance of the day, it reminded us of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Mary, Jim, and their families all came in to Sedona from around the country for this amazing wedding. Mary, in fact, changed her wedding location to Sedona after seeing our images and we were so very flattered when she told us! We do travel internationally for a limited number of weddings per year, so if you do love our photography but are not getting married in Arizona, don't hesitate to let us know. In fact, we've been known to work special rates for interesting destinations! :)
We had a pre-wedding shoot with Mary and Jim two days before their wedding and it was really fun. Having an engagement shoot or pre-wedding shoot is fantastic because it allows everyone to get to know each other and feel that much more comfortable on the wedding day, not to mention, you get some fun images with your sweetheart!
We truly enjoyed seeing Mary and Jim interact. They are so very much in love and it was so easy to take amazing pictures with how genuine and emotional they and their families were. And of course, super cute kids at a wedding is always a cherry on top for us! What an absolutely genuine and kind couple Mary and Jim are! It was such a beautiful beautiful day!
Judith Bloomfield, wedding planner of Sedona Luxury Weddings, coordinated the wedding. From getting the gift baskets for all the guests, making sure the day went smoothly and *trying* to keep it on time, to even getting Mary's dress dry cleaned and shipped back to her, JB handled it all.
Jim, Ken, and the talented team from Events By Showstoppers really went above and beyond on this wedding! The floral work, lighting, and hanging fabric on the walls, etc., were just amazing. Who else would think of using barrel cactus as a part of the centerpieces? They were just beautiful and went perfectly with Mary's cactus theme. Just wait til you see the images of the flower carpet at the ceremony... To die for! :)
Cake artist Andrea Blaut of Sedona Cake Couture made the super fabulous cake. Brian David played the amazing classical guitar for the ceremony. Bobby Russell of Sedona Sounds DJ MC'd the dancing during the reception.
Here is a link to the slideshow of Mary and Jim's enchanting wedding. We're now showing our slideshows with larger images, so it may take just a little longer than normal to load into your browser, but it's worth the wait!
Here are a few favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Mary's stunning Vera Wang dress was just perfect for her, and fun for Katrina and I to photograph too...!

Check out the crown and ring box Showstoppers made - they were definitely a hit!

A intricately designed carpet of rose petals? So very fabulous. Like something right out of a fairytail...

We think this shot of Mary's dad waving to her from the distance as she and the entourage arrived is just too sweet.

The light on the hillside of L'Auberge can sometimes be very harsh, but the slightly overcast day made for perfect light and visibility of the amazing red rock views.

Another example of how nice it is to have two photographers... this shot below is Katrina's, and the next shot just a moment later is taken on a long lens by Andrew.

The newlyweds!!! Congratulations Mary and Jim!!!!

Mary was definitely being a trend setter with having yellow as her color theme! We have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of yellow themed weddings in the magazines this year.

You gotta love classic cars used as transportation at weddings... how romantic!!

Cocktail hour on the Garden Side of L'Auberge... what a way to watch the sunset!

We LOVE photobooths.... the guests had a lot of fun with it too. Arizona PhotoBooth came up from Phoenix for the wedding and made a guest book with all the photo strips.

The barrel cactus centerpieces mentioned earlier. Isn't this room gorgeous?

Mary and Jim's reaction to the best man's toast.

And a TON of fun Greek dancing!

Last dance...

Blessings!
